Hey BABES! Today I’m sharing my Morning Routine!! Having a morning routine changed the way I go about my day and how productive I am! Also it helps keep me in a better mind set!
Now I wanted to say that I didn’t think I needed a morning routine, nor did I think how I started my day would effect my mindset and how productive I am. But it really does!! Remember we are all different and what might work for you might not work for someone else!
MY MORNING ROUTINE :
• Wake up (between 7:00-7:30am) •
I always set an alarm even though this is when my body naturally wakes up!
• Make bed, lay out my medications & open windows! •
Sunlight makes me happy! I always have to make my bed! I also lay out my medication so that way I don’t forget to take them everyday!
• BREAKFAST •
(7:10-7:30)
This is the most important part of my routine, I usually have a shake or make breakfast depending the schedule that day! I will like my protein mix below!
• Journal & Me Time •
(7:30-8am)
Okay I actually look forward to journaling and my me time! If you have not read the Rachel Hollis Books (linked below) I recommend them! That is where I learned how to make my morning routine, why I need a routine and what to do for journaling! Her books are amazing! TOTALLY recommend! I use her Start Today Journal every morning. I write down 5 thing in grateful for, 10 goals I have, one goal I’m working on and my mantra!!
Next I do a devotional, I use an app called First Five. I get my bible, iPad, prayer journal, etc.. Then, open the app and go to the next day in the plan Im on. (Im reading psalms). It takes me about 10-15 minutes. I love this app! They walk you though the verse(s) for that day! Next I share my daily verse on instagram stories with ya’ll! (I also work on the bible journal at night) Don’t worry I will do a whole blog post on this!
•Clean room, Check Emails•
(8:00-8:15am)
Am I the only one that has to start the day with a clean room?!? I’ll tidy up my room, then I check and answer emails. I will also answer any DMS and catch up on comments!
•Get Ready & Stories!•
(8:15-9:00)
Lastly, I take me first two mediations…then I wash my face, brush my teeth, do my hair and makeup (if i decided to). Getting ready helps me so much. I am not sure why but I cont get anything done if I don’t
The last thing I do is hop on stories, share anything I have new on the blog. Then I start my day. if your instructed in my daily schedule, check out my blog post HERE!
Well that’s it. It seems like a lot when it is all typed out, but I like to be as specific as possible. Now my times are just to give e a guide, some days it’s easier to get out of bed than others, I might get distracted or something. So I don’t always follow exactly those time slots.
When coming up with a routine for the morning I want you to keep a few things in mind:
THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
- Everyone is different and what works for one person might not be right for you Consistency is key. It takes about 14 days to form a habit.
- If you miss a day or get off our routine, don’t beat yourself up about it, just start over the next day
