Teeth Whitening at Home…Does it work?

Hi babes! Alright today’s post is not your average outfit inspo! It’s time to talk about teeth! yep…teeth. My teeth are not perfectly straight and that never really bothered me, but I do like a nice white smile! Teeth whitening was always scary to me, what if I end up like Ross from that one Episode of Friends?… ya know when he whitens his teeth and they are extremely bright! So I decided to step out of my comfort zone and whiten my teeth with Smile Brilliant

The process is super simple! Fist you will receive your kit! Which comes with:

  • Impression base and Catalyst paste to make impression
  • Two impression trays
  • Whitening gel
  • Desensitizing gel (I asked them for this because I have sensitive teeth!)
  • Pre paid postage to send impressions back
  • Instructions and guides for every step of the way!

Okay I will admit I was A-F-R-A-I-D of making my own impressions! After reading the directions I felt much better, it was so simple and didn’t take long at all. 10 minutes tops!

I made my impressions and sent them back to Smile Brilliant so my custom whitening trays can be made! It only took them about a little over a week to ship back to me. (this was around a holiday so it might have been faster if it wasn’t)!

Time to Whiten

I have my trays which come in the cutest little case ever!

So whitening is actually pretty easy! and like before they give you step by step instructions so it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to mess it up!

it only takes about an hour to complete the process!

First you are going to take off the cap (save cap to put back on top of syringe) and apply a thin ribbon of gel on the tray, then dry your teeth and insert trays! and THAT’S IT!

You can whiten for 45minutes -3 hours! I usually do 45 minutes!

I wasn’t kidding about how simple it is! Now while your trays are in & the magic is happening you can clean, do homework, get ready for bed… basically whatever you would like. I like to do mine at the end of the night and get ready or bed and the next day while my trays are in.

Once you are done whitening remove the trays. Clean them and brush your teeth like normal!

I followed up with the desensitizing gel! (this step is optional!). It only takes 15-20 minutes. You do the same thing with the desensitizing gel as you did with the whitening gel, insert the trays and let them sit for 15-20 minutes! Again so EASY

This has been so much fun to share with y’all! I am excited for one of you to try this and get amazing results like I did!
