Hello babes! I hope all are doing well and enjoying this sunshine!
Starting a new segment on here called Whats New in fashion. Today I am featuring the white button down shirt. Which I am so excited about because I have been loving styling them for work and at home. There is so much you can do with button down tops like these!
For those of you who might not know what I am referring to I posted some picture below for reference.
These are very popular right now as swimsuit coverups, tucking in one side and the other left out, or wearing them oversized as a dress. I love the way Courtney Shields styled this button down top below!
So I was out thrifting and found and oversized mens shirt. I decided to step a bit out of my comfort zone and channel my inner fierceness (if thats ever a word) and styled some biker shorts, the oversized shirt, leather boots, a belt and a neutral lip. The results turned out so good!
HERES THE FINISHED LOOK!!!!
Now as someones who is petite I needed to add a belt to my waist to help give this oversize white button down top some shape. I placed the belt on the smallest part of my waist, that was it would hug me in the most flattering areas. I also tied the access of the belt so that way it was not hanging down. Tucking the shirt in or tying it would give the same effect.
To help the button down shirt stand out I choose to only pair black accessories here. This helps to keep the street vibe I have going. I added a square toe leather bootie, which is trending right now to help give it a more edgy look.
Lastly I added some gold jewelry and a neutral lip to complete this look. You an also unbutton a few of the button at the top and pop it off your shoulder.
